Frame Sliders: Protect Your Bike from Damage

Not all frame sliders are the same!
The quality of the frame slider depends on the material as well as design. Imagine the following:

• From a standstill drop the frame slider puck must be able to absorb the impact and not shatter whilst holding up the entire weight of your bike.
• Now imagine a low side / high side situation, the delrin puck has to be soft enough to withstand the impact and durable enough to slide along the ground.
• In addition it also has to stick out enough to protect the frame / bodywork yet small enough to prevent catching and flipping the bike.

Whew! Frame sliders are definitely a worthwhile upgrade but don't underestimate the amount of research that goes into them!
