LighTech No-Cut Frame Sliders: Proof that They are Effective
Skeptics question the effectiveness of frame sliders, especially no-cut frame sliders. Frame sliders have been given a bad name because of cheap, knock-off products that are designed to look good but aren't worth a damn in the event of a crash, even an accidental tip-over! A cheap frame slider will have a puck that shatters instead of absorbing crash damage or will have weak mounting brackets or bolts that bend on impact.
OPP Racing is happy to report that the frame sliders that we carry are effective...and look pretty pimp too. Below we have pictures of a CBR1000RR with the LighTech No-Cut Frame Sliders installed and pictures of the same frame sliders after a 45mph low-side.
The bike shown above is a Honda CBR1000RR 2004-2005 which features LighTech No-Cut Frame Sliders. The frame sliders use a bracket to reposition the delrin puck so it does not need a hole cut in the bodywork.

LighTech No-Cut Frame Sliders: Actual Crash Results
The next set of pictures are also for a Honda CBR1000RR 2004-2005 with the same frame sliders.
The bike low-sided at 45mph but sustained only cosmetic damage. (The rider is fine and also very happy with the performance of the frame sliders). The total value of damage was $1000 with only minor damage to the fairings and hardware on the left side of the bike. The customer reported that the estimated damage with cheaper frame sliders were used would have been $6000!
LighTech Frame Sliders start at $99.95 which make them an affordable and practical investment.
