The patented AXIS/CMC™ by BrakeTech USA is the latest in ultra-advanced Ceramic Matrix Composite brake rotor technology for the Motorcycle Industry. Designed to perform brilliantly with OE calipers as well as the Billet GP race-spec units. This unparalleled composite material offers the best features of premium iron rotors with the incredible lightweight of carbon, and none of the Carbon/carbon foibles!
Average 65% reduction in unsprung weight!!!
Not thermally sensitive (will work great on the street)
Ultra broad torque curve across a very wide thermal range
Much longer lasting than carbon/carbon
Much less expensive than carbon/carbon
Great wet weather performance - unlike carbon/carbon [not hygroscopic]
Terrific feel and feedback at the lever
Strong braking performance? We mean, Really strong: +.6 mu average friction with special Ferodo Racing brake pads
BrakeTech Cast Iron Rotors are CNC-machined from continous-cast, high tensile ductile iron, eliminating problems with traditional iron rotors such as porosity and impurity. Ductile Iron rotors are twice as strong as traditional Gray Iron rotors. Cast Iron rotors are have a higher coefficient of friction which provides superior feel and performance over stainless steel rotors.
They use BrakeTech's unique Axis design that result in better performance and durability.
They have a higher coefficient of friction that allows for greater stopping power and feel over stainless steel.
They use continuous-cast, high tensile ductile iron instead of traditional gray iron which eliminates porosity and impurities.
They are twice as strong as traditional gray iron rotors.
For traditional motorcyclists, BrakeTech offers petal-style rotors made from premium heat-treated 420 stainless steel. These rotors feature a petal-design that avoid problems associated with conventional Wave rotor designs and meet SuperStock racing requirements. Traditional Wave Rotor designs may look attractive but the exaggerated cuts and grooves in the rotor encourage pad deflection in unsupported areas of the rotor, resulting in unwanted vibrations and increased wear in the rotor and the brake pad.
They use only premium heat-treated 420 stainless steel.
They utilize an Optimized Petal design retains the "Wave" look but does not compromise brake pad functionality.
They meet SuperStock racing requirements.
